The news supplies the facts. Our observers supply the assessment. Occasionally, the facts make further assessment unnecessary.

A planet where curiosity travels faster than outrage, power tolerates scrutiny, and fewer meetings require a second meeting to establish what happened in the first.

Maintains the record of unprecedented events that have happened before. Requests that all declarations of a “new era” include a reference number.
How the reports work
Our starting point is real news and traceable sources. We distinguish factual reporting from alien commentary and use AI tools to assist production.
The observers are fictional. Their departments, council assessments, and administrative difficulties belong to the satire. They are not eyewitnesses or sources.
Our editorial aim is simple: accurate foundations, original commentary, and jokes directed at power and behaviour rather than people already having the worst day of their lives.
Our position on humanity
Undecided, with encouraging evidence.
Humans rescue strangers. Make art without practical justification. Share food when resources are scarce. Send small machines into enormous darkness because they would like to know what is there.
These activities remain difficult to explain through efficiency alone.
